Baseball New Zealand are proud to announce the twenty players selected for the U-18 National Team, who will compete in the upcoming WBSC Oceania Qualifiers held in Auckland next month.

The U-18 National Team Manager, Toshiki Nakao said “The roster has been selected from a great group of both talented and developing players, making the final selections for this team very hard for the coaching staff.

We are excited to take on the challenge of the tournament with a young, talented, and passionate group of players.” 

The National U-18 coaching and management staff we will be working hard with this group in the short-term leading into the WBSC Oceania tournament along with also having a long term developmental focus for these players, their futures and the ongoing development of our National U-18 Squad.

The team will report for a preparation camp on 7th December in Auckland, before competing in the Oceania Qualifiers from 12-15 December at Lloyd Elsmore Park, competing against teams from Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Australia for the top spot to head into the WBSC U-18 World Cup in 2023.
