The tournament will attract over 250 players and hundreds of supporters to each host venue, as well as national baseball scouts and is the pinnacle event of the junior aspect of baseball in New Zealand and competition is expected to be tight.
The host club for the 2017 tournament is the Bayside-Westhaven club and will be played at Crossfields Reserve in Glendowie.
The best players in each youth age group from clubs throughout the country converge on the diamonds for one of the biggest date on the New Zealand club's baseball calendar.
Players will represent their clubs at U19 Grade level to compete in a tournament format to become the best club in the country.
To play in the U19 competition, a player cannot have turned 19 before the tournament commences.
Games begin on Good Friday 14 April and run through to the Finals Day on Monday 17 April (final to be played at Lloyd Elsmore Park, Pakuranga), with a full programme of baseball on the cards with plenty of games a day being played.
The New Zealand National Club Championship was first contested in 2005, and remains the pinnacle event for New Zealand players with many of the players hoping to secure a place in New Zealand national teams to go to various upcoming events.
Fans can expect the battle on the diamond for club pride to be enhanced by the individual quest for National team selection across all grades.
