Japanese Trio to Host Baseball Clinic in West Auckland

A trio of former Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) stars will be holding a baseball clinic for all ages at McLeod Park in Te Atatu South this Saturday (28th January).
Former Japan Samurai and Chiba Lotte Marines pitcher Naoyuki Shimizu who now lives in New Zealand, will be joined by his former national team captain Shinya Miyamoto (Tokyo Yakult Swallows) and first time visitor to New Zealand, Yataro Sakamoto, a pitcher who also played for the Swallows as well as time with the Nippon Ham Fighters from Sapporo, the Yokohama Bay Stars and the Saitama Seibu Lions in an 11-year professional career.
Naoyuki Shimizu and Shinya Miyamoto have held two previous hugely popular clinics in Auckland and with the addition of Yataro Sakamoto, will once again prove popular again.
